An insight into the monetary gain enjoyed by La Liga giants Real Madrid at the Club World Cup to date has this weekend been forthcoming online.
And the figures point towards Los Blancos being the tournament’s 2nd biggest earners.
Real are of course fresh off booking their spot in the knockout rounds of the newly-formatted Club World Cup.
After an opening day draw with Al-Hilal, Xabi Alonso’s troops have since kicked things up a notch, courtesy of back-to-back victories over Pachuca and RB Salzburg.
And such results, added to the club’s status in world football, goals scored and more, have all contributed to their hefty earnings in the USA thus far.
As revealed by The Athletic, Real Madrid have seen their accounts boosted to the tune of a whopping $48.4 million at the CWC.
This is a sum bettered only by Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, who have raked in a total of $51.7 million en route to booking their own place in the competition’s next round.
