It'll be a tall order given the interest in him from elsewhere, but Southampton are interested in Chelsea's Tyrique George - here's what he's earning.
It'll be a tall order for them to land him, given the amount of interest his availability might generate, but Southampton are in the market for Chelsea's Tyrique George, so here's what he's earning at Stamford Bridge.
Following a mixed start to the season, albeit with a significant upturn in form since the appointment of Tonda Eckert, Southampton already have one eye on the January transfer window.
It's an opportunity for the club to give their first-team squad a little refinement for the second half of the season, with a quick return to the Premier League still in the forefront of everybody's minds at St Mary's.
One of the potential targets with whom they've been connected is certainly an ambitious one.
Winger Tyrique George is reportedly unhappy at Stamford Bridge with Chelsea, frustrated at a lack of first-team opportunities under Enzo Maresca. The player is ready to leave the club to seek more regular football elsewhere, and Southampton are among the clubs believed to be considering making a bid for the talented young player in the new year.
Bringing in a talented young player from a Premier League club could be an expensive business, but parachute payments mean that the Saints could be competitive in terms of what they can offer him, so here's what he's currently earning at Stamford Bridge as Southampton prepare for what would certainly be an audacious swoop.

According to Capology estimates, Tyrique George is currently earning £7,500-a-week at Chelsea, with a contract that runs until the end of June 2027.
This is a relatively modest income by the standards of the Premier League, and it gives Southampton room for manoeuvre in terms of what they could offer him were they to make a move for him in January.
As can be seen from Capology estimates of the Saints' wage bill for the 2025-26 season, Southampton are already paying 22 players double that £7,500-a-week amount or more, and considering the player's potential, they may consider it more than worthwhile to make him an offer which substantially pushes up his income.
It must be stressed, of course, that these figures are simply estimates.
And there are more things at play which could also give the Saints a bit of a leg up, should they bid to take the player to St Mary's in January.

As an England under-21 international who's already played both Premier League and Championship football, there will be interest in Tyrique George from elsewhere, and Leeds United and Everton have both also been linked with potential moves for the winger.
The promise of Premier League football elsewhere may look like an insurmountable obstacle for Southampton, but this doesn't necessarily have to be the case. On the issue of wages, as can be seen from Capology, the Saints are still very much paying Premier League wages. Should they get to a point of making him an offer, there's no reason why they can't rival any of those being made by Premier League clubs.
And there are other benefits that they could push too. Leeds United are making a decent go of staying up this season, but they'll likely lose more matches than they win over the remainder of this season, while competition for a spot in an Everton team which has made a strong start to 2025-26 will also be tough.
Southampton may be able to offer similar money, more first-team football, and a place in a winning team. If they can present an argument that he could play a full role in getting the Saints back into the Premier League, it could be a persuasive one.
They'll have stiff opposition for his signature, but the player is keen to try his luck elsewhere, the wages and transfer fee are both affordable, and the likelihood of regular football in a team winning more matches than they lose is more likely at St Mary's than at either Elland Road or The Hill-Dickinson Stadium.
