Birmingham City minority stakeholder Tom Brady has recently been able to flex the wealth he has generated throughout a stellar career as an NFL quarterback, as his investment continues to aid the West Midlands club's well-documented progression.

Brady's role in the boardroom at St. Andrew's @ Knighthead Park, to give it its official title, is 'Advisory Board Chairman', as he works alongside the frontman of American investment group, Knighthead Capital Management, in the form of Tom Wagner.

The 48-year-old has been involved with the Championship side for just over two years, linking up with his compatriot ahead of a home clash with Leeds United in August 2023, a move which sent shockwaves through the EFL landscape and started a chain of events which has seen the spotlight firmly cast on the Second City outfit.

Aligning with lyrics from Blues' historic anthem, Keep Right On, Brady, and Wagner have already seen their fair share of 'joys and sorrows' after becoming saviours in the eyes of those who had become disillusioned with the way in which the club had been run under a plethora of Far-East consortiums and owners, such as Carsen Yeung and Birmingham Sports Holdings Limited.

Their first season in the boardroom saw Blues be relegated to League One for the first time since 1995. However, after making the initial left-field move of appointing Chris Davies as manager, the Americans have hardly taken a backwards step, with Blues romping to the third-tier title last term through an accumulation of 34 victories and 111 points across 46 league games - as well as being involved in further high-profile fixtures throughout an arduous 60-game campaign.

With the club now back in the Championship, Knighthead have continued to significantly back Davies as they hope to couple their unveiling of a new 62,000-seater Powerhouse stadium with an eventual return to the Premier League.

A strong involvement in those proceedings would, at times, be enough to sap the energy from some owners or boardroom figures. However, being a man of such fame, Brady is often seen documenting his personal life away from Blues-related matters on social media, and he was recently seen investing in a new watch that, unsurprisingly, is worth a fair sum of cash.

As showcased through a five-part docuseries on Amazon Prime titled 'Built in Birmingham: Brady and The Blues' which aired ahead of the current Championship season in August, the seven-time Super Bowl winner and 'GOAT' (Greatest of All Time) in the eyes of many across the Atlantic, the former New England Patriots man is now fully immersed in the world of sports media.

With the NFL season now at a crucial stage, Brady is often heard commentating on fixtures for American outlet, Fox Sports, which, on occasions, relay their footage and commentary to avid followers in the United Kingdom on Sky Sports.

Indeed, the Blues minority investor was overseeing the Los Angeles Rams' narrow 41-34 success over the Detroit Lions at the SoFI Stadium on Sunday, December 14th, positioned alongside former New York Giants defensive end, Michael Strahan.

Taking to his Instagram profile to somewhat document his day behind the microphone, Brady and Strahan posed for a photo, whilst also visibily flexing their watches.

Many took immediate note of the action, and given Brady's world-renowned profile, some of his biggest supporters immediately investigated the model of his watch, as well as the sum of money he parted with during said purchase.

Indeed, it was later revealed on X through a screenshot of the picture and the watch being sold online, that the San Mateo native had invested in a Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch with a 'frosted white gold' colourway.

It is believed that such jewellery can be secured by anyone if they are willing to part with $485,000 of their hard-earned cash, which equates to a figure of £361,470.

It is said that over the course of his playing and post-playing career, Brady has built a personal fortune of £300m.

In the final year of his playing days back in 2022, he was reported to be the ninth-wealthiest athlete in the world, and now he is investing in helping Blues stars, such as club-record signing, Jay Stansfield, reach their full potential.

Brady has a 3.3 percent stake in the Second City club at present, and as was proven in the docuseries, during which he was seen travelling to the UK for matches against Wrexham and in the EFL Trophy final versus Peterborough United at Wembley Stadium, Wagner previously stated the former quarterback is "engaged with the club 365 days a year."

He was also at the front and centre of the teaser video for Blues' new stadium, the centrepiece of a multi-billion pound Sports Quarter complex, which is said to transform Bordesley Green and Small Heath by 2030.
