The Swans would, of course, run the risk of losing Vipotnik at a considerably lower cost next summer, where he would be in the final year of his contract in SA1, which means a deal could be necessitated this summer if the talisman opts against penning fresh terms to hand his employers additional security.

It's a situation which the likes of Rangers and others may just be monitoring considering the potential of landing him for a cheaper fee in more than twelve months' time, but if they want a deal this summer, Swansea hold the cards and any agreement will be controlled by the key decision-makers at the Swansea.com Stadium.
