Nottingham Forest's Europa League adventure appeared to be hanging by a thread.
VĂtor Pereira's side held a seemingly commanding three-goal lead when they welcomed his old club club Fenerbahçe for Thursday's play-off return leg.
But the City Ground's nerves were put firmly on edge as the visitors clawed back their deficit through two goals from Kerem AktĂĽrkoÄźlu to leave the tie on a knife edge.
The Türkiye international's brace marked the first time since the Tricky Trees conceded twice in a European tie since Jürgen Klinsmann for Bayern Munich in March 1996.
History suggested that the omens were against the Premier League side after they eventually crashed out of the UEFA Cup to the German heavyweights.

But Callum Hudson-Odoi produced a superb strike to offer Forest a two-goal cushion heading into the final 20 minutes of their latest continental encounter.
The winger had not scored in a major European fixture for almost four years with his last goal coming for Bayer Leverkusen against Atlético de Madrid in October 2022.
It's all about timing!
