Roma’s pursuit of Giacomo Raspadori has moved beyond preliminary interest into a phase of defined financial and structural requirements. According to Alfredo Pedullà, the Giallorossi are fully aware of the conditions necessary to finalize a deal with Atletico Madrid during the January window.

The deal for the Italian international is expected to cost just over €20 million. To secure his return to Serie A, Roma must structure the offer as a loan with an option to buy that becomes an obligation to buy. Pedullà reports that these specific terms are essential for the deal to progress, as failing to meet them would lead to another stalled negotiation similar to those seen in the summer.

Raspadori has reportedly given his “green light” for the move, largely due to his limited playing time under Diego Simeone in Madrid. This acquisition is a priority for Sporting Director Frederic Massara, who aims to provide Gian Piero Gasperini with a versatile attacking reinforcement immediately. While Roma also remain in the hunt for Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee, that deal is viewed as more complex due to timing and the player’s current status in England.
