How Sunderland’s new membership works, prices and ballot rules explained | OneFootball

Sunderland have unveiled a new membership scheme for 2026/27, on sale from 10am on Tuesday. According to Sunderland Echo, it has three tiers for season-ticket holders, adults without a season ticket and children.

Season Ticket Plus, £20 per season, includes entry to an away general admission ballot, member content and offers, in-store events, mascot ballot access for ages six to 12, and rewards.

Black Cats Adult costs £48 and gives access to the home ticket ballot, the season-ticket waiting list and the same member benefits. Black Cats Academy is £30 for the first child then £20 thereafter, mirroring the adult tier and adding mascot ballot access for ages six to 12.

Existing season-card holders keep all current rights, including ticket forwarding. Membership is optional for them, the decision is whether £20 for away ballot access and extras is worthwhile.

Non-members may buy home tickets only after members. Given demand and sold-out season cards for 2026/27, most tickets are likely to be allocated via the ballot. One membership equals one ticket, with detailed balloting rules to follow nearer the season.

The Black Cats Points scheme is unchanged, though 10% of each away allocation will be reserved for the ballot and high-point holders retain priority on the rest. Only Season Ticket Plus includes the away ballot.

The previous waiting list has closed and a new one opens at 10am on Tuesday for members, with places kept while membership continues. Europa League home ticketing is unconfirmed, and there is no suggestion at this stage that season-ticket holders will need membership. Non-season-card holders can access Europa home ballots via Black Cats Adult.
