Normally a big game that you’d expect to have consequences nearer the very top of the Premier League table, Tottenham vs Liverpool is looking like being more of a mid-table affair this season.

Both sides have endured disappointing starts to the 2025/26 campaign, and that could make this tie all the more interesting as they look for a result that could launch them up the table due to how close it’s looking between fourth and 13th place right now.

Spurs have home advantage but have suffered some really bad results at their stadium so far this season, while Liverpool are arguably starting to look a little more like themselves again, even if they’re still not hitting the heights many would have expected after their title triumph last term.

Fans won’t want to miss this unpredictable fixture between two teams who, more often than not, produce a spectacle for the neutrals to enjoy.

Tottenham predicted line up to take on Liverpool

Thomas Frank has rotated a lot this season, so it can be tricky to predict precisely what kind of Tottenham line up we’re going to see.

If everyone’s fit by the time this fixture comes around, Frank will surely go full strength to try to claim a big three points, so perhaps a line up that looks something like this…

Tottenham predicted line-up: Vicario; Porro, Spence, Romero, Van de Ven; Bentancur, Palhinha, Simons, Odobert, Kudus; Richarlison.

Liverpool’s predicted line-up to take on Tottenham

The big debate in recent weeks has been about Mohamed Salah and if he should still be in the Liverpool team after his outburst about Arne Slot.

This situation is one that could change quickly, so by the time this game comes around it will either be resolved, or Salah will just be a step closer to leaving.

In recent matches, though, we’re perhaps starting to see that LFC look a slightly more balanced side without Salah now, so our hunch is that he’ll probably remain out of the team for this one.

Liverpool predicted line-up: Alisson; Bradley, Kerkez, Van Dijk, Konate; Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Jones, Szoboszlai; Isak, Ekitike.

Tottenham vs Liverpool head-to-head record

This always feels like one of the Premier League’s most entertaining fixtures, and it will certainly be one that Liverpool have mostly enjoyed down the years.

The Reds have won 93 times and lost only 50 games against Tottenham, with a further 44 ending in a draw.

In more recent times, it’s also been a happy fixture for Liverpool, with Spurs winning just twice in their last 17 meetings in all competitions, which includes the 2019 Champions League final.

Spurs did win one of their games last season, though, a 1-0 victory in the league in January, but they were thumped 5-1 in the return fixture at Anfield.
