Manchester United face a difficult test as they take on Unai Emery’s in-form Aston Villa side away from home in what should be an unmissable Premier League clash.
Villa have been one of the most in-form teams in the country in recent weeks, and it will be intriguing to see if they can keep that run going against a Man Utd side who’ve also shown some signs of improvement.
The busy festive period of fixtures is always great entertainment so we’re sure to see plenty of interest from fans in getting tickets to this big game.
Here’s our preview and ticket buying guide for Villa vs United…
Villa have been able to rotate a bit and still maintain their strong form across all competitions, but in a big game in the Premier League, we suspect Emery probably has a decent idea of his strongest XI.
See below for our predicted Villa line-up for this game…
Aston Villa predicted line-up: Martinez; Cash, Maatsen, Konsa, Torres; Onana, Kamara, Tielemans, McGinn; Rogers, Watkins.
United have one or two injury concerns, most notably Benjamin Sesko, while it’s not yet entirely clear if Harry Maguire and Matthijs de Ligt could make it back for the trip to Villa Park.
Assuming the worst, we’ll probably see Ruben Amorim lining up with something like the below…
Man United predicted line-up: Lammens; Mazraoui, Yoro, Shaw; Dalot, Diallo, Casemiro, Fernandes; Mbeumo, Mount, Cunha.

United have a really strong record against Villa down the years, winning this fixture a remarkable 107 times in total.
That’s more than double Villa’s success against the Red Devils, with the Midlands outfit coming out on top on just 51 occasions, while there have been 42 draws.
Even during this difficult period for United, they’ve been strong in this fixture in recent times, winning five and drawing one of the last six, and losing only twice since 2009.
Can United get another victory this time, or will in-form Villa continue their run? Give us your predictions in the comments!
