Los Blancos trail by one ahead of second-leg at the Allianz Arena
Bayern Munich hold a narrow lead over Real Madrid as they host the Spanish giants in tonight’s Champions League quarter-final second-leg.
The German giants took a 2-1 win away from the Spanish capital last week thanks to goals from Luis Diaz and Harry Kane, though Kylian Mbappe’s late consolation gives Real plenty of cause to dream ahead of the reverse fixture at the Allianz Arena.
That ground is something of a fortress, though, and Bayern’s unwavering form this season suggests Los Blancos have their work cut out for them.
Michael Olise did not get on the scoresheet at the Bernabeu last week, but has played his way into the Ballon d’Or conversation with his incredible form this season.
Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany thinks he will be a key player tonight: “He will certainly be one of the best in the world one day; he’s on the right track.
“His level is already on par with the best players in Europe. But if I say he’s one the best now, people will start saying how many Champions League titles he’s won. He has to keep going!”
