Chelsea open their Women’s Champions League campaign with a trip to Twente today.

The Blues are the hot favourites for this year’s competition, despite their London rivals Arsenal being the defending champions.

Now, Sonia Bompastor’s treble winners are looking to end their drought at the continent’s top table, where they have not reached the final since 2021.

There, they were thrashed 4-0 by Barcelona in Gothenberg, and since then, they have had a group-stage exit and three consecutive semi-final defeats.

This year, they are expected to go one better, particularly with the star names at Bompastor’s disposal.

Aggie Beever-Jones is joint top-scorer in the Women’s Super League with four goals, while Sam Kerr is raring to go as she looks to tee up a Champions League title charge.

In goal, Hannah Hampton is fresh off winning the Yashin Trophy at the Ballon d’Or ceremony afte her standout season between the sticks for the Blues and the Lionesses at Euro 2025.
