The Three Lions host the Dragons in a friendly outing at Wembley

England will warm up for this week’s World Cup qualifying clash with Latvia by hosting home nations rival Wales at Wembley Stadium.

The Three Lions will hope to replicate the Lionesses’ rout from this summer, in which they beat Wales 6-1 en route to winning Euro 2025.

It is far from a full-strength England side, though, which will be without the likes of Reece James, Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, and Noni Madueke for the match.

He has already shown that he is not afraid to tinker with his lineup, naming a heavily rotated side to face Andorra at Villa Park in September, and could hand new chances to Elliot Anderson and Ruben Loftus-Cheek under the Wembley Arch.

Wales, though, could come into the match eyeing a moral victory. There is plenty of Premier League firepower in the squad - Harry Wilson has made a fine start to the season with Fulham, as has Tottenham’s Brennan Johnson.

Karl Darlow, 34, is expected to make his Wembley debut for Wales.
