Red Devils converge on Craven Cottage this afternoon

Michael Carrick’s men are three games without a win in all competitions, having drawn with Everton, lost the Manchester derby to neighbours Manchester City, and then been knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Brighton and Hove Albion in midweek.

That run has piled the pressure on Carrick, who was handed the reins on a permanent basis in the summer after a successful caretaker spell, and it is down to the former midfielder to address his side’s funk.

Today gives them a good opportunity to do that, as they take on a Fulham team that are still acclimatising to new boss Alvaro Arbeloa’s methods.

The Cottagers have not won in the Premier League at all this term, losing three of their four games.

They are unbeaten in their past two, however, picking up a point at Liverpool in a goalless draw, and beating West Ham 3-2 in the third round of the League Cup in a topsy-turvy affair at the London Stadium.
