Arsenal are on the south coast this evening as they face Portsmouth to kick off their 2025-26 FA Cup campaign.
The third round draw has been kind to the Gunners, as they face a struggling Championship outfit.
Pompey are just one point clear of the relegation places, with Norwich and Oxford United looming large in the rear-view mirror.
They have won six of their 24 league outings so far, and were on the receiving end of a 5-0 hiding from Bristol City last time out.
Mikel Arteta would be pleased to see his Arsenal side pull off a similar result as they look to get back to winning ways after a frustrating goalless draw with Liverpool last time out.
A win today would see them improve on last year’s FA Cup campaign, too, after they were dismissed at the first time of asking by Manchester United last season.
It remains to be seen whether Arteta will be able to call on Piero Hincapie for the match after he limped off at the Emirates on Thursday night, though Cristhian Mosquera is definitely expected to miss out.
TV channel: In the UK, the game will be televised live on TNT Sports 1, with coverage starting at 1.30pm ahead of a 2pm kick-off.
Live stream: TNT Sports subscribers can also catch the contest live online via the Discovery+ app and website.
Live blog: You can follow all the action on matchday via Standard Sport’s live blog, with expert analysis from Matt Verri at Fratton Park.
