Team news

Neymar is in line to return to the Brazil squad having missed both games of the tournament so far. Raphinha, however, is set to miss out after suffering a hamstring injury against Haiti.

Kieran Tierney was forced off for Scotland in their defeat to Morocco and is an injury concern.

Predicted line-ups

Scotland (4-5-1): Gunn; Patterson, Hanley, Hendry, Robertson; McGinn, Christie, Ferguson, McTominay, Gannon-Doak; Adams

Brazil (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Danilo, Marquinhos, Gabriel, Santos; Casemiro, Guimaraes; Henrique, Paqueta, Vinicius; Cunha

Recent form

Scotland were beaten by Morocco last time out, but were victorious over Haiti in their first game. Their current points total could be enough to progress to the knockouts, but a point against Brazil would be a huge boost to their chances.

Brazil sit on four points in the group, having beaten Haiti 3-0 in their last outing, which followed a 1-1 draw with Morocco.

What’s been said?

Scotland boss Steve Clarke: “I think they’ve shown in the matches so far in this tournament that they can be a big threat and I’m sure they expect to be minimum last four in the competition.”

Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti: “They have good players, [Scott] McTominay, [John] McGinn that are experienced players. Easy games at the World Cup were finished a long time ago. We are ready to play a difficult game.”
