The Eagles face Ukrainian opposition in semi-final as European adventure continues

Crystal Palace continue their Conference League campaign this evening, facing Shakhtar Donetsk in the semi-final first-leg in Krakow.

The Eagles had never faced Ukrainian opposition before this season, but will do so tonight for the second time. They got the better of Dynamo Kyiv in the league phase, winning 2-0, and will hope to inflict a similar result tonight.

They have rather cruised to this stage of the competition and produced a hugely impressive 5-2 aggregate victory over AZ Alkmaar in the previous round.

They will give Palace a difficult match, then, and will hope to take advantage of their mounting injury headaches.

Tyrick Mitchell is a doubt for the match with an Achilles injury picked up at Anfield, while Eddie Nketiah and Evann Guessand both seem set to miss the remainder of the campaign.
