Uruguay are staring at an early exit, likely needing to win to progress, while Spain are still hoping to make sure of their place in the round of 32.

New Liverpool signing Victor Munoz remains a doubt for Spain, while Giorgian de Arrascaeta will miss out again for Uruguay.

Spain responded to their shock opening game draw with Cape Verde in emphatic fashion by beating Saudi Arabia 4-0.

Uruguay, meanwhile, have been disappointing, drawing both of their two games, against Saudi Arabia and then Cape Verde.
Spain boss Luis de la Fuente on his admiration for Uruguay boss Marcelo Biela: “I’m an admirer. I’ve followed his career closely.
“When he was at Athletic, I spent five or six months going every day to watch his training sessions and I learned a lot. I have all his training sessions recorded. He’s been an innovator in many ways.
“I’ve been lucky enough to have stayed in contact with him and have private conversations about soccer with him. This is the first time we are going to face each other and it’s an honor and a pleasure for me.”
Bielsa on the importance of stopping Lamine Yamal: “He is a player who can unbalance a match. I am not saying anything new… He is a destabilising and decisive player.”
