It is a final opportunity for either side to rescue their hopes of heading to north America this summer, and will be played on neutral ground in Valencia.
The winner will then face either Poland or Albania in a play-off final, with that match’s victor heading to the World Cup finals.
Ukraine have performed consistently throughout their qualification campaign, producing impressive wins over Iceland and Azerbaijan but also suffering a pair of one-sided defeats by France.
Sweden, though, have rather laboured in their qualification quest, with key attackers Dejan Kulusevski and Alexander Isak both dealing with long-term injuries.
The Blagult have suffered four defeats in recent weeks - two each at the hands of Switzerland and Kosovo - with those results sandwiched by uninspiring draws with Slovenia.
Graham Potter’s side is dealing with two new doubts as well, with Williot Swedberg and Gustav Lundgren both ill.
“We'll have to wait and see and decide tomorrow,” the ex-Chelsea and West Ham manager said of the pair’s involvement.
This will be just Potter’s third match in charge of the side, and he is facing something of an uphill battle to return Sweden to the World Cup for the first time since 2018, and he is yet to rectify their leaky defence or misfiring attack.
Live stream: In the UK, the game will be televised live on Amazon Prime Video, with coverage starting at 7.35pm ahead of a 7.45pm kick-off.
The match is available on pay-per-view for £2.49.
