HSV mark 1887th Bundesliga game with special-edition heritage shirt | OneFootball

Hamburger SV have unveiled a special-edition shirt to mark their 1887th Bundesliga match, a figure that mirrors the club’s 1887 founding.

According to BuLi News, HSV are only the seventh Bundesliga club to reach this milestone, which the club are celebrating with a heritage-inspired release.

The design carries the motto "Sturm und Glanz", meaning Storm and Glory, and reflects both glory-filled moments and tougher periods.

It features classic white and blue colours, a dark red crew neck and gold detailing.

A standout 1887 print on the back incorporates the names of the 465 players who have represented HSV in the Bundesliga.

Manufactured by Adidas, the shirt is made from 100% recycled polyester and uses moisture-absorbing AEROREADY technology.

Demand has surged, with physical stores sold out and the online shop currently down due to extremely high traffic.
