Sky Germany reports that Hamburger SV are considering a move for Heidenheim goalkeeper Kevin Müller. The 34-year-old is seen as the leading option if HSV choose to appoint an experienced goalkeeper to replace Daniel Peretz.
Out-of-favour Müller has been given the green light for a January departure and could be available almost free of charge.
He is valued internally for his mentality and is ready for a new challenge, but there has been no contact between the clubs.
Once first choice at Heidenheim, he lost his place to Dortmund loanee Diant Ramaj, which led to a social media outburst from Müller.
He was subsequently linked with a move to MLS, but that route now appears to have dried up.
