HSV's Grønbaek suffers thigh injury whilst on Denmark duty | OneFootball

The club said in a statement that Albert Grønbaek must leave Denmark's national team camp early after suffering a thigh injury.

The 25-year-old sustained a torn muscle fibre in his right thigh during the 2-3 defeat to Norway in the UEFA Nations League last Thursday.

He made his 10th international appearance as an 82nd-minute substitute, then left after the final whistle with his thigh bandaged.

MRI examinations carried out with the national team, in consultation with HSV's medical staff, confirmed the diagnosis.

He had been scheduled to feature in three further fixtures, twice against Wales and another test against Portugal.

The setback comes after a strong start for HSV, with two goals in the DFB-Pokal match in Verl and two assists in the 2-1 win over 1.FC Köln.
