Football League World takes a look at three League One clubs who could sign Dion Charles from Huddersfield Town this summer
Huddersfield Town striker Dion Charles has struggled to hit form for the Terriers since joining the West Yorkshire outfit from Bolton Wanderers in January 2025.
However, the Northern Ireland international was previously prolific for Bolton, notching 20 goals and two assists in 44 appearances across all competitions in his last full season in the North West.
Charles' struggles for Huddersfield, meanwhile, have been detrimental to the Terriers' League One play-off hopes, as their lack of consistency means that the likes of Reading and Stevenage could beat them to a top six spot.
The West Yorkshire club, who sacked former boss Lee Grant and replaced him with Liam Manning in January, have struggled for a consistent source of goals since top scorer Leo Castledine was recalled by then parent club Chelsea and sold to Middlesbrough in the winter transfer window.
Charles is among the Terriers players who have failed to impress in the final third, and Football League World has analysed why Bradford City, Wycombe Wanderers, and Plymouth Argyle could be ideal destinations for the 30-year-old this summer.

Bradford have produced one of the stories of the League One campaign, as the Bantams are nearing a play-off finish, having only won promotion from League Two last term.
However, Graham Alexander's men have relied on the goalscoring efforts of attacking midfielder Antoni Sarcevic in the absence of a consistent striker.
Ethan Wheatley has not produced the sort of impact the Bantams would have wanted from him since joining on loan from Manchester United, while Stephen Humphrys isn't always a reliable source of goals.
Moving from Huddersfield to West Yorkshire rivals Bradford this summer would be a somewhat controversial transfer for Charles to complete, but his previous exploits for Bolton prove it would certainly strengthen Alexander's side.
The Bantams would be more likely to eye a move for Charles if they remain in League One, rather than winning promotion to the Championship.

Like Bradford, Wycombe are in the hunt for a League One play-off spot, but their out-and-out strikers have not produced the goods on a regular enough basis.
Charles clearly needs to leave Huddersfield to reignite his best form, and the Chairboys will need a better forward to launch a more serious promotion bid next term, should they remain in the third tier.
Wycombe boss Michael Duff was in charge of the Terriers when they signed the 30-year-old in January 2025, but was sacked by the West Yorkshire club the following March.
Duff should be keen to reunite with Charles at Wycombe, having been unable to manage him for as long as he would have liked at the Accu Stadium.

Tom Cleverley's Plymouth have not had the same problems with strikers as either Wycombe or Bradford this term, but could need a new forward come the summer.
Lorent Tolaj has proven himself as one of the best attackers in League One since joining Argyle from Port Vale last summer, while Bim Pepple has been central to the fact that the Pilgrims have rescued their play-off chances despite making a woeful start to the campaign.
However, as reported by the Daily Mail in February, both Pepple and Tolaj have been eyed by Celtic, who have fallen below their usual standards in the Scottish Premiership this season.
