The 21-year-old has impressed on his first ever senior loan spell with the League Two side, starting 25 matches in the league, scoring four goals and chipping in with three assists.

Whilst opportunities for Heath to test himself at a higher level could've presented themselves in January, the Everton hotshot opted to play out the rest of the campaign for Stanley.

However, his form has caught the eye of teams higher up the EFL, with Alan Nixon reporting on his Patreon page on Sunday morning that League One duo Huddersfield and Reading are both eyeing up Heath ahead of the summer transfer window.

Both the Terriers and the Royals are hopeful of securing a top six finish in League One this season, and reportedly see the wide player as a potential target in the summer after his loan at Accrington concludes.

Heath has been one of the breakout stars in League Two this season. His excellent performances at Accrington have seen him become a key player for John Doolan's side, having scored four goals and chipped in with three assists in 25 league outings.

The 21-year-old is a versatile wide player, having featured as both a winger and a wing back during his time at the Wham Stadium, which has reportedly caught the eye of two of League One's top clubs.

According to Nixon, both Huddersfield and Reading are keen on making a move to sign Heath this summer, with both sides monitoring his progress on loan in Lancashire this season, with Doolan keeping Accy well clear of any potential relegation battle.

Heath's contract with parent club Everton runs until the summer of 2027, so it's unclear whether the Terriers and the Royals will be exploring a permanent deal, or just a simple loan in the summer transfer window.

Accrington certainly have some excellent talent on their books this season, the main example being defender Benn Ward, who completed a winter move to Reading, having caught the eye of multiple League One clubs in the first half of the campaign.

Whilst Heath may not belong to them, the progress he's made over the course of his loan spell bodes well for the club, as they clearly have an excellent environment for developing young players, which is exactly what Premier League sides want for their youngsters.

Heath has adapted well to the EFL in his first ever senior loan spell, and it's really no surprise that clubs in the division above are already keeping tabs on him ahead of the summer window, given his form for Accrington.
