Owen Goodman has endured a frustrating loan spell with the Terriers
Huddersfield Town are reportedly looking to cut short their loan agreement with last season's FA Cup winners, Crystal Palace, for Canadian international goalkeeper, Owen Goodman.
That is according to a fresh update from Alan Nixon via Patreon, as Lee Grant looks to enjoy a successful second transfer window in charge of the Terriers following his appointment back in June.
It has been an extremely mixed first half of the campaign for the West Yorkshire outfit, despite the fact many expected them to be in and amongst the automatic promotion conversation all season long after a summer of major spending and squad transformation through the funding of heavily vocal American owner, Kevin Nagle.
At present, Town find themselves residing in the League One play-off places at the start of January, but still find themselves 10 points behind league leaders, Cardiff City, with 22 matches of their league campaign still to play.
A handful of signings made by Grant in his first-ever transfer window in a full-time managerial role have been key performers for the Terriers thus far, in particular, Leo Castledine, who has been in fine form since joining on loan from Palace's Premier League rivals, Chelsea.
However, the same cannot be said for Goodman, who had previously earned a stellar reputation in League Two through loan moves with Colchester United and AFC Wimbledon.

Having racked up a total of 25 clean sheets in 84 League Two appearances, it seemed the next natural step in terms of development for the 22-year-old to gain experience in the third tier for the first time, eventually hoping to catch the eye of Oliver Glasner at Selhurst Park.
However, Goodman has played just 12 times across all competitions for the Yorkshire outfit since moving up the M1 on July 2nd.
10 of those have come in the league. But, despite his previous reputation, the former England youth international, who was called up to Jesse Marsch's Canada squad for the first time in November, has been best known for the red card he was given in a 3-1 defeat at Barnsley on August 30th after swiping out David McGoldrick.
His most recent outing would, ironically, come against his former loan employers, AFC Wimbledon, in a 3-3 draw on November 29th, with Grant opting to use the experience of Lee Nicholls ever since.
As such, Nixon reports that Huddersfield are willing to cut the agreement short, whilst Palace will hope to send him out to a side where regular gametime can be sourced for the remainder of the campaign.
As Nixon's report alludes to, this would be a decision that makes sense for all parties.
At 22 years of age, Goodman must be gaining as much experience as possible as he attempts to further his career, which certainly hasn't happened at Huddersfield.
As for Town, this would free up a loan spot that they could fill up with a new signing across any of Grant's squad departments, although it remains to be seen if a deputy figure for Nicholls will be sourced between now and February 2nd.
