Hudson-Odoi scores twice as Forest down Spurs

Nottingham Forest made it three wins in a row over Tottenham Hotspur with Callum Hudson-Odoi scoring twice in a 3-0 win.

Both teams had been victorious in midweek European action and despite Spurs having two more days rest it was a tired mistake that helped give the home side the lead.

Guglielmo Vicario was under no pressure when he passed to Archie Gray, but both the pass and the touch weren't good enough allowing Ibrahim Sangaré to steal in before Callum Hudson-Odoi applied the finishing touch.

While Vicario couldn't be completely blamed for the opening goal he certainly was at fault for Forest's second five minutes after the break.

Hudson-Odoi did well on the left to find space for a cross that was aimed towards the back post and travelled over the out-of-position Italian and into the back of the net.

After having been credited with assists for both goals, Sangaré then wrapped up the win in some style. This time it was Hudson-Odoi laying the ball off for the midfielder who fired an unstoppable shot from distance which bounced in off the inside of the post.

That result sees Sean Dyche's side move to 18 points and moving closer to the middle of the pack – just four points behind 11th-placed Tottenham.
