Hugo Souza hails Brabas for World Cup run after Supercopa win

After winning the Men’s Supercopa do Brasil title, with Corinthians’ 2-0 victory in the final, goalkeeper Hugo also spoke about the club’s current situation off the pitch. In an interview with GETV still on the field, the player was asked about the Brabas’ campaign in the World Cup final, played against Arsenal.

On that occasion, the Corinthians women’s team was defeated by the English side 3-2, after a draw in regular time and a decision in extra time, but received praise for their performance and journey in the competition. Hugo highlighted the importance of the women’s team and praised the history built by the athletes wearing the black and white jersey.“Congratulations to them, of course, what these girls do for the club is incredible. The number of titles they win, one after another, they are amazing,” said Hugo.

The goalkeeper emphasized that he follows Corinthians women’s football and stated that the team continues to be a source of pride for the fans.

“I’m very happy. I follow their football a bit. It’s the best team there is.”

Finally, Hugo expressed confidence in the continued work of the Brabas and projected new achievements for the women’s squad.

“I’m sure the fans are proud, but they’ll definitely be back, because they win everything and they’ll keep on winning,” he concluded.
