Hull City continue to maul their way to an early, and unexpected, sensational start to the 2026/27 Premier League season, with the Tigers roaring against free-spending Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

An opening goal from Morgan Rogers just seven minutes into proceedings ended the club's clean sheet streak while seemingly putting them on course for a potential heavy defeat.

But Sergej Jakirović's spirited outfit didn't get that memo this afternoon, and did well to storm back and take the lead thanks to a six-minute double salvo from Algerian winger Mohamed Belloumi.

The 24-year-old has been a bright spark for Hull in the opening weeks of the season, and has now banked two goals and an assist (against Coventry) across the opening four Premier League games.

His brace today is also an unfamiliar marker for the club, too, with fans needing to roll the clock back to March 2017 to remember the last time a Hull player (Oumar Niasse) scored twice in a Premier League fixture.

Should results hold, Hull would rest at the top of the table ahead of Arsenal's trip to Sunderland, and though a run into Europe is unlikely, club supporters could not have dreamed up a better start to their top-flight return.
