Hayters’ “Pint Sized Pressers” were talking Chelsea this week, and their hot topic was Estevao Willian.

The young winger has made a superb impact since arriving in the summer, but is still being used sparingly, mainly as a sub on in cup competitions.

Pundits demand more Estevao minutes as Chelsea struggle for attacking threat

That wasn’t something their pundits agreed with:

“I can’t believe he’s not starting more, in the Premier League he’s not getting as many minutes as he should<” one pundit said.

“Because he scored that last minute winner against Liverpool, he scored a great goal in midweek, and he’s just a brilliant young player that drives at defenders. And that’s kind of what Chelsea have been missing. Garnacho does it, but not to the level Estevao does it. They’ve really been missing a winger who can drive at defences.”

“He’s the real deal, I’ve seen him a few times now, he’s going to be a top player in the future.”

We couldn’t agree more, but for now we’re pretty happy with the way Enzo Maresca is keeping the pressure off Estevao by using him mainly as a sub. He’s always going to be more effective in the latter part of games, and Pedro Neto does a good job softening up the opposition.

In other news…

Cole Palmer is another one of our top attackers who’s not getting in the team right now. Former Chelsea man Geremi spoke about him today, comparing him to Frank Lampard in his pomp.

Morgan Rogers is a close friend of Palmer’s, and has long been linked with a move to Chelsea. He’s just signed a new contract, but that doesn’t necessarily make a deal less likely.
