The story between Nicolas Jackson and Chelsea is considered over according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The striker joined Bayern Munich on a season loan on deadline day, with an obligation to buy based on making a a certain number of appearances.
The criteria is believed to be 40 starts across all competitions, and with the former Villarreal man now at the African Cup of Nations it’s not possible for the obligation to be triggered.
It’s been reported Bayern are unlikely to sign him on a permanent basis, although the Senegal international is said be settled and enjoying life in Munich.
Several clubs are said to be keeping a close eye on Jackson, and Romano has provided another update on his future.

“Eventually, Chelsea will look for a different solution, because between Jackson and Chelsea, the story is considered over,” he told his YouTube channel.
“I don’t see any chances for Chelsea and Jackson to change their relationship and to continue together.”
Jackson has scored five goals in 18 appearances in all competitions so far this season, but only six of those have come as starts.
Even if Jackson wanted to repair his relationship with Chelsea, the Blues have already moved to sign Emmanuel Emegha, meaning there’s no room for the 24-year-old.
Chelsea have already moved on from the Senegalese, and have secured the signing of Emegha from Strasbourg, with the 22-year-old set to join at the end of the season.

Emegha has penned a seven year contract at Stamford Bridge, and will likely go straight into the squad to compete with Liam Delap and Joao Pedro for minutes.
The Dutch international scored 14 goals in Ligue 1 last season, and so far has four goals in seven Ligue 1 appearances this campaign, with Chelsea said to believe he has greater potential than Jackson.
