“I have time” – PSG attacker ready to be patient as he waits for chance behind elite front line | OneFootball

Mika Godts is aiming to convince everyone of his quality as PSG – but he’s going to have to be very patient for now.

PSG made a number of attacking additions in the summer, and of all of them Mika Godts probably got the least attention.

He’s been gradually working his way into the picture since then, and we’ve finally got some quotes on how it feels to have made such a massive move.

Godts knows he has to be patient to crack PSG team

“I have time, I have time. The coach and the club believe in me. They bought me, so it’s normal [that they do],” the attacker said to media in his native Belgium after their defeat against France last night.

“The team is great, it helps me a lot. The players help me a lot too. I’m calm. I’m trying to play at a high level and do my best. I don’t have any pressure. I’m very calm and I’m trying to do the best I can.

“I’m trying to stay humble, keep my feet on the ground, and work hard. What impresses me the most is seeing all these great players working for each other. There’s a real collective strength!”

Like all new additions to PSG, it will take a while for Godts to settle and get used to the demands of Luis Enrique. But once he does he looks like he’s going to be another top attacker for this super team.
