‘I know that for a fact’ – Thomas Frank on the futures of Tottenham midfield duo | OneFootball

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank hinted that Rodrigo Bentancur could extend his stay with the club – and says he does not expect Yves Bissouma to leave for Saudi Arabia.

Bentancur is into the final year of his contract at Tottenham but Frank suggested the Uruguayan would be happy to lengthen his stay.

“I think, first and foremost, I’m very happy with Rodri,” he said.

“I think he’s been a very good player for us, a top professional in every aspect. I’m happy with him, he’s happy with being here, I know that for a fact.

“Let’s see what will happen in the future.”

Frank also expects Bissouma to remain with the club for now and not leave for a Saudi Pro League club, with their window yet to close.

The midfielder has had a difficult start under Frank, being left out of the the squad for the Super Cup clash with PSG due to disciplinary reasons and then suffering an injury.

“I think, yeah, of course there’s a few foreign windows, but I’ll be surprised if anyone is leaving us now, so the answer is yes, he’s part of the squad,” Frank said.
