Liverpool midfielder Tyler Morton has stated that he wants people to criticise him so that he can improve in the areas needed to become a top player.

The 21-year-old Liverpool academy product is on a season-long loan with Hull City this season and has been an integral part of their starting line-up.

Hull City are going through a rough patch and their recent performances have drawn criticism from former players and a section of the fans.

Morton stated that he is good at receiving criticism and the Liverpool loanee thinks that to become a top player, he needs to respond well to it.

The defensive midfielder stressed that he needs people to criticise his game and Morton pointed out the areas where he has to improve.

“If you really want to make it to the top, you’ve got to respond to criticism very well”, Morton was quoted as saying by Hull Live.

“I feel like that’s what we do.

“I need people to criticise me and pick out the bits I need to be better at in the game because that’s what some players need.”
