Former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has gotten a little bit sentimental ahead of meeting Chelsea fans again later tonight.

Conte left Chelsea on very bad terms really, and it all got pretty ugly there between him and the club. He was a Premier League winning manager with The Blues and enjoyed some decent success at Stamford Bridge.

But things soon turned sour for many reasons, and an incident with striker Diego Costa didn’t help either. But the Conte and Chelsea story ended, and he has not been back since.

Well, tonight he will meet Chelsea fans again, albeit not at Stamford Bridge this time. But for Conte, it will bring back some memories anyway, and some happy memories that he shared with Blues fans during his time at the club.

The Napoli boss is getting set for his side to welcome Chelsea tonight in the Champions League clash, and he’s had some nice words to say about his former club who are of course now under a new ownership from when he was here.

In quotes picked up on X, Conte said on Chelsea and the fans:

“I remember the chant to me, you know, ‘Antonio, Antonio,’ and this stadium is special because it’s in London, and yeah, great, great memories. Now they are growing and growing, and for sure it’s one of the best clubs, not only in England but in the world.”
