Jamie Carragher believes Enzo Maresca is doing a “brilliant” job with the squad he’s got at Chelsea following their win over Barcelona.
On a special night at Stamford Bridge Chelsea put in one of their best performances under Maresca as they ran out 3-0 winners.
The Blues took a first half lead through a Jules Kounde own goal before Estevao scored a brilliant goal, and Liam Delap completed the scoring.
The win sees Chelsea move into the top five in the Champions League standings, and boosts their chances of securing a top eight finish, and an automatic path to the last 16.
Everyone to a man was absolutely superb, and despite Ronald Araujo’s first half red card, the Blues were still in control 11 vs 11.

Chelsea have been heavily criticised for their squad and recruitment, but are now starting to reap the rewards, and have beaten some top teams over the past few months.
It feels like people might start taking Chelsea more seriously following the Barcelona win, and Carragher believes Maresca is doing a brilliant job.
“Maresca’s doing a brilliant job with the squad that he’s got,” he told CBS Sports as quoted on X.com.
“It’s not a bad squad, it’s a good squad but I think, certainly in the 18 months he’s been at the club, I think he’s done a brilliant job.”
The win against Barcelona was brilliant, but focus now switches to another huge game on Sunday as Arsenal visit Stamford Bridge.

The Blues sit six points behind the league leaders, and a win would put them three behind and very much in the title picture at this stage of the season.
However, Chelsea haven’t beaten Arsenal at Stamford Bridge since 2018, and are winless against the Gunners in the league since 2021.
