Juventus take on AC Milan in one of the most exciting matches to watch in Europe this weekend, with both clubs looking to build on their fine starts to the season.

The Bianconeri have won their first two league matches, while AC Milan have also beaten Venezia and Torino since the campaign began. This means the meeting at the Allianz Stadium represents the biggest test so far for both teams.

Juventus are expected to have an advantage because they are playing at home, but the Old Lady know the match will not be straightforward. The men in black and white will be determined to win in front of their supporters, while AC Milan will arrive looking to produce another strong performance.

Juventus face major test against Milan

The unpredictability surrounding this fixture is part of what makes it so special. Neither side can afford to assume they will collect the points, and both clubs will need to produce their best football if they want to continue their positive starts.

Juve will face even more difficult matches as the season progresses, but this encounter gives them an opportunity to show how far they have come. AC Milan will provide a serious challenge, making the result particularly important for Juventus.

The Bianconeri will hope their home advantage can help them overcome their opponents, although there is little separating the two teams on paper. The match could therefore be decided by which side makes better use of its opportunities.

Borghi predicts Juventus victory

Pundit Stefano Borghi has backed Juventus to come out on top and believes the Bianconeri could cause AC Milan serious problems with their approach. He said via Tuttojuve:

“Juventus-Milan is a tough call for both teams. Perhaps the pressure of the result is more on Juve than Milan, but the scenario that could emerge, given that Spalletti is strategically getting the game right—and for me the model could be Spalletti’s first major victory, the one in Bologna—focused on changes of direction, Juventus could cause Milan serious problems. I think it’s possible Juventus could beat Milan, so if you ask for a prediction, I’d say Juve.”

Borghi therefore expects Juventus to make the most of their tactical approach and home advantage. The Bianconeri will now look to turn that prediction into reality when they face AC Milan.
