Enzo Fernandez has labelled the high temperatures at the Club World Cup as “dangerous” and revealed he suffered a dizzy spell in one game.

The weather conditions have been a talking point, whether it’s lengthy delays for lightning storms or playing in high temperatures.

The Blues have experienced both, with a near two hour delay in their round of 16 victory against Benfica, whilst they played in scorching conditions in their semi final against Fluminense.

The conditions in the United States are really tough in the summer and are very demanding on the players who’ve had to adapt quickly.

The temperatures can also have an impact on the matches and cause them to potentially be played at a slower tempo.

Fernandez, who has impressed this summer is the latest player to speak about the conditions and revealed he suffered a dizzy spell in Chelsea’s game on Tuesday afternoon.

“The heat is incredible,” Fernandez said as quoted by The Guardian.

“The other day I got a bit dizzy during a play. I had to lie down on the ground because I was really dizzy. Playing in this temperature is very dangerous, it’s very dangerous.

“Moreover, for the spectacle, for the people who come to enjoy the stadium, for the people who watch it at home.

“The game, the speed of the game is not the same, everything becomes very slow. Well, let’s hope that next year they change the schedule, at least so that it remains a beautiful and attractive football spectacle, right?”

Moises Caicedo fit for PSG

Fernandez has been key in Chelsea’s run to the final with one goal and three assists, and the Blues have been handed a major boost ahead of the clash with PSG.

Moises Caicedo went over on his ankle in the final minutes of the semi final, and there were fears he could miss the final.

However, the Ecuadorian is set to be available and has been in training, although it looks like Romeo Lavia will miss out once again.
