Arsenal will be aiming to end a two-match winless run in the Premier League when they take on Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Gunners have picked up just one point from the last two league games against West Ham United and Nottingham Forest, but they were exceptional against PSV Eindhoven in midweek.
The London giants secured a sensational 7-1 triumph over the Dutch champions in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 at the PSV Stadion.
The victory should give them plenty of confidence ahead of the trip to Manchester.
Arteta was asked several questions in his pre-match presser, and one of those was focused on Chido Obi, who left the Gunners’ academy for the Red Devils last summer.
He said: “I wasn’t too involved in that decision. When a player decides the best pathway is to leave, there’s not much you can do.”
The 17-year-old made his debut for United earlier this year, and he recently played more than 50 minutes against Fulham in the FA Cup fifth round defeat at home.
Obi was ineligible to face Real Sociedad in the Europa League yesterday, but he is expected to make the matchday squad against his former club this weekend.
Based on manager Ruben Amorim’s comments, Rasmus Hojlund looks poised to start against Arsenal, but Obi could come off the bench for another cameo.
Meanwhile, the Gunners will aim to avenge the FA Cup third round exit to United by continuing their recent dominance over the Red Devils in the top-flight.
They are in their best run against the Red Devils in Premier League history with four straight wins and will be eyeing another three points at Old Trafford.
Arsenal are bidding to secure back-to-back wins at the stadium for the first time in 46 years.
