Celtic don’t get many penalties – and meaningful ones are like hens’ teeth with guys like Madden, Dallas and Clancy with the whistle – but they are awarded all hell breaks loose in Scottish football as the outrage at CELTIC getting awarded a penalty is too much for some folk to stomach.

Folk like the three staunch former referees who now like to lodge simulation charges against any Celtic player who get fouled inside the box forcing the referee to point to the spot. Last week it was Albian Ajeti down at Kilmarnock and the simulation charge duly arrived but was unsuccessful as annoying they could not prove that there was no contract (because there was contact presumably), and last night it was Greg Taylor who was up to the same dastardly trick – playing for Celtic and winning a penalty.

Jim Goodwin, the St Mirren manager ignored the possible red card offence that ended young Welsh’s participation in the game. The young Celtic defender left the field on a stretcher. Rather Goodwin wanted to start the ball rolling that somehow Taylor was guilty of conning the referee into awarding a penalty to Celtic.

Here’s the St Mirren manager calling out Greg Taylor. “There is a touch on the shoulder but not enough for Taylor’s legs to crumble,” Goodwin said.
