Blackpool boss Ian Evatt has hinted an announcement on Franco Ravizzoli could come in due course amid Leicester City interest. The 29-year-old goalkeeper was left out of the Carabao Cup win at Grimsby, where Bailey Peacock-Farrell started.

Ravizzoli joined the Tangerines last summer after two seasons with Wycombe Wanderers, and he made just eight League One appearances.

“At the moment it was the right thing to do for the club and player,” Evatt said. “That’s as much as I’ll say on it at the moment. We didn’t feel the need to involve him today.”
