Former Arsenal star Ian Wright is feeling super confident ahead of the Gunners taking on Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.
I’d actually go as far as saying that he is a little over confident too. He genuinely thinks Arsenal are going to beat Chelsea 3-1 this weekend! It’s a brave shout to go on record to say that, because I can see it actually being a very close game – unless there are any sending offs, of course.

As cited on X this week, Wright said when predicting the score line for Arsenal vs Chelsea:
“I’m going to go 3-1. We’re going to murder them [Chelsea].”
Wow. Big talk there from the former striker, but of course, being a Gunner still, he is always going to back his team to beat Chelsea, especially when they are the home side. He is an Arsenal fan and they are top of the league, so why wouldn’t he be confident?
Chelsea need to have confident of their own again because personally, I think we are better when we are the underdogs and not expected to win. There is no pressure and Chelsea wont be having to break down a low block defence which is what they often struggle with.
The Daily Mail’s Kieran Gill revealed that Liam Rosenior was less than happy after Chelsea’s recent draws, and let loose in the dressing room in a way that hasn’t been seen before.
Matt Law was on the London is Blue podcast this week, and he could barely control his frustration over an ongoing issue the club are having at the moment.
