Ibrahim Cissoko's comments have not gone down well with Bolton Wanderers and Sheffield Wednesday fans
Sheffield Wednesday and Bolton Wanderers fans have expressed their opinions on a comment made by Ibrahim Cissoko.
The 22-year-old has already experienced quite an impressive career, which has seen him operate out of three countries and for six different teams.
Cissoko featured for both FC Dordrecht and NEC Nijmegen in the Netherlands, where he began to gain a reputation as a talented young forward, which led to French outfit Toulouse snapping him up in 2023.
In the three years since, he has played just 15 times for the club, instead spending most of his time out on loan in the EFL.

Cissoko spent the first half of last season on loan with Plymouth Argyle, where he managed a decent return of three goals in 15 matches, before swapping Devon for Yorkshire and running out for Sheffield Wednesday during the second portion of the campaign.
Success didn’t come as easily there, with the young Dutchman unable to score in five outings. Bolton Wanderers have provided the platform for him to perform from this term, handing Cissoko 15 appearances in all competitions at this moment in time.
When recently commenting on his performances to BBC Radio Manchester, the 22-year-old stated: “I’m an exciting winger. Players like me you come to the stadium for.”
This statement has caught the attention of both Wednesday and Bolton fans, with the majority tending not to fully agree with what Cissoko claimed.
“Might be the worst player I’ve ever seen in a #swfc shirt,” stated one fan, clearly not appreciating the forward’s short spell at Hillsborough.
“Made me want to leave the stadium the couple of times I saw him play for us,” humorously replied another.
Even though he currently plays for the Trotters, some of their supporters also weren’t accepting what Cissoko had stated.
“Needs to put his head back on earth and be humble, Duberry doesn’t do this and he’s our best player!” argued one Bolton fan, comparing Cissoko’s inconsistencies to the brilliance of Amario Cozier-Duberry.
“Think he is deluded from what I've seen this season,” commented another.
There was some support for the Dutchman though, with a portion of the Bolton fanbase happy to see the player speaking so confidently.
“Let’s get behind the lad plays with a smile and can only improve .. let’s have it IBI,” chimed in a more positive Bolton supporter.

Although Cissoko is clearly extremely confident about his own ability and what he brings to a football pitch, Bolton supporters will be hoping to see more from him in the near future.
Granted, the 22-year-old’s ability to beat players is one of his strong points, as he has completed over two successful dribbles and won over three free-kicks every match thus far.
However, just one goal in the FA Cup isn’t a good enough return. Ultimately, putting the ball in the back of the net is what excites fans the most and Cissoko hasn’t managed to do that consistently.
If he can start upping his output, the forward may win over some more of the Trotters’ faithful, but it remains to be seen whether he is capable of that.
