With his contract at Liverpool coming to an end, French centre-back Ibrahima Konaté is said to have made a pivotal decision about the next chapter of his career.

According to reports from the Spanish press, notably Fichajes, Konaté will not be extending his stay with the Reds. His intention appears clear: to join Real Madrid next summer as a free agent, following in the footsteps of Trent Alexander-Arnold recently.
Since arriving at Liverpool in 2021, the French international has played 136 matches, netting 5 goals and providing 4 assists. His solid track record has now caught the eye of the Madrid club, which is always on the lookout for defensive reinforcements.
