Chelsea youngsters Tyrique George and Josh Acheampong have disagreed on who they think the next academy star to break into the first team will be.
The Blues are renowned for their Cobham academy which has produced many top players over the years, with the likes of Levi Colwill and Reece James an important part of the current first team.
Concerns have grown recently over the pathway from the academy given the number of youngsters Chelsea sign, and how lucrative it is to sell academy products.
However, both George and Acheampong have made the jump from the academy to the first team this season and are now part of the first team squad.
Acheampong signed a new long term contract last year to commit his future to the club and impressed in his first Premier League start against Crystal Palace last month.
George is another exciting talent and is highly rated by Jadon Sancho, with the teenager making 11 appearances this season and featuring in all six of Chelsea’s Conference League games to date.

What the future holds for the duo remains to be seen, but they are both serious options for Enzo Maresca over the second half of the season, as Chelsea look to secure Champions League qualification.
With the pair the latest academy graduates to break into the first team, many will be thinking who could be next to make it.
George and Acheampong were both asked this very question in a video posted on Chelsea’s YouTube channel and they disagreed.
George said: “I’d probably say Kiano Dyer.”
Whilst Acheampong replied: “I’d say Shim [Mheuka] or Ishe [Samuels-Smith].

“Shim is really physical but also technically really good. And Ishe as well. Different positions but they’re both really good.”
Both have made an appearance for the first team already this season in the Conference League against Astana, and are performing very well in the academy, so it might not be long until we see them more regularly in the first team.
