Igor Vinicius suffers quadriceps oedema, out of Santos' trip to Flamengo | OneFootball

Igor Vinicius has suffered a small oedema in his right quadriceps and will miss Santos' trip to Flamengo on Sunday 5. The Brasileirão match kicks off at 17:30 at the Maracanã in the 10th round.

He will spend the weekend undergoing intensive physiotherapy with the club's medical department, according to Diario Do Peixe.

With Mayke recovering from a PRP and corticosteroid procedure on his knee, JP Chermont on loan at Coritiba, and Gabriel Menino sidelined by a muscle injury in the back of his right thigh, Santos are likely to be without a specialist on that flank. Midfielder Gustavo Henrique, who has previously filled in there at youth level, should cover.

Neymar Jr and Rony are suspended after their third yellow cards. Full-back Vinicius Lira remains out following an ACL injury.

Attacking midfielder Miguelito is in physiotherapy after discomfort and is expected to be rested. Striker Gabriel Barbosa has recovered from an oedema in the left soleus, trained as normal, and will strengthen Santos for the game.
