Ihattaren inspires Fortuna Sittard as comeback lifts them to ninth

Fortuna Sittard won 3-2 at NEC Nijmegen on Saturday at Goffertstadion, climbing from 11th to ninth in the Eredivisie as the hosts slipped from third to fourth.
In the 19th minute Tjaronn Chery guided NEC ahead from the centre of the box. Ivan Marquez levelled from close range (27.).
After the restart, Mohammed Ihattaren curled in from outside the area to put Fortuna in front (59.). Justin Hubner then glanced in a corner (65.), both goals arriving from Ihattaren's service.
Substitute Bryan Linssen pulled one back for NEC in the third minute of second half stoppage time to set up a frantic finish.
NEC Nijmegen had 68.2% possession and delivered 10 corners. Fortuna Sittard were clinical, hitting nine shots on target from 13 attempts.
Next, NEC Nijmegen host PSV in the KNVB Beker semi-finals. Fortuna Sittard host Telstar.
