Ilias Akhomach extends Villarreal deal and joins Rayo on loan, Fran Pérez affected

Ilias Akhomach has signed a new contract with Villarreal to June 2028. He will spend the rest of this season on loan at Rayo Vallecano.

Rayo Vallecano announced that the winger joins on loan until 30 June 2026, with no option to buy.

The extension adds one year to his previous Villarreal agreement, which had been due to run until 2027.

Akhomach has had limited minutes this season, with strong competition for places under Marcelino at Villarreal.

The move is aimed at securing the game time he needs after a recent recovery from a serious knee injury.
