But it is precisely this quality that could become a problem for FC Bayern in the long term. Desailly sees the financially strong Premier League in particular as a potential buyer. „The talent is so great, maybe in the Premier League. They want the best. He is one of the best,“ explained the former world-class defender

And then came the decisive sentence: „I’m not sure whether he will stay at Bayern Munich for long.“

The situation is naturally different at Säbener Straße, where those responsible have internally declared Olise unsellable, pointing to his long-term contract without an exit clause

Head of Sport Max Eberl recently made it very clear: „He has a contract until 2029 – that’s all I need to say.“ A clear signal that Bayern are not willing to let their top performer go

It is no coincidence that Olise is so coveted internationally. This season, the attacking player has scored an impressive 18 goals and provided 29 assists in 44 competitive matches. These figures make him one of the most effective players in Europe – and one of the main reasons for FC Bayern’s outstanding season

Even if there is currently a lot to suggest that he will stay, Desailly’s assessment shows that even long-term contracts are no guarantee in modern soccer

One thing is clear: as long as Olise continues to perform in this form, the interest of top European clubs will be hard to contain. It will therefore be crucial for FC Bayern to send out the right signals not only in sporting terms, but also strategically.
