Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has posted on his Instagram account late last night ahead of Chelsea’s next Premier League game on Saturday lunchtime.
The Blues face Leicester City on Saturday in the first league game of the day, and that meant that Blues head coach Enzo Maresca did his pre-match press conference a day early yesterday, rather than later today.
He spoke about Reece James being missing with injury yet again, but he also touched upon some midfield issues that they currently have. Romeo Lavia is fighting an injury and despite being back in training yesterday, he is still a doubt to be able to start the game.
Cole Palmer also trained yesterday, but there are some whispers that he could be rested from the start on Saturday too after some recent knocks in games.
So that leaves a bit of a question mark around the midfield and who is going to start. I reckon Enzo Fernandez might get the nod you know, he could genuinely start this game even though he played 90 minutes for Argentina midweek.
I believe Moises Caicedo will start alongside Fernandez, and then if Palmer is going to be rested, and we are unsure of that at the moment and there is every chance he does start, then I’d expect to see Christopher Nkunku start instead of him in the ten position.
But as you can see in the image above, it sounds like Fernandez is happy to be back and up for the game. I’d be surprised if he isn’t starting on Saturday.
