After a stellar season with London club Fulham, with 10 goals and six assists in 38 Premier League appearances, interest in Nigerian international Alex Iwobi seems to be on the rise. The 29-year-old would be a great addition to the Spanish capital club, who finished third in La Liga last season.

As they look to strengthen their squad for next season, the Nigerian international has been heavily linked with a move to Diego Simeone's side and is one of the priorities the club will move for this summer.

Great competition for the player's services

Atletico Madrid are not the only club interested in signing the Nigerian international, with several clubs already interested in his services, according to reliable reports. The former Arsenal man joined Fulham in the summer of 2023 from Everton, and since his arrival, he has made a hugely positive impact, with Atletico Madrid reportedly making a €25 million bid to break his contract and secure his services.
