“In any case” – Fabrizio Romano shares new Nicolas Jackson update, it’s bad news for Chelsea | OneFootball

It’s no longer possible for Nicolas Jackson to trigger the obligation to buy in his loan deal at Bayern Munich according to Fabrizio Romano.

Jackson completed a deadline day loan move to Bayern, which contained an obligation to buy based on making a certain number of appearances.

That number is believed to be 40 starts in all competitions, but he’s started just six games out of the 16 he’s featured in so far in all competitions.

Jackson is believed to have little interest in returning to Chelsea, and is reportedly settled at Bayern, but the chances are he won’t be at the German club beyond the end of the season.

It’s believed several clubs are attentive to the situation surrounding Jackson, and Romano has provided another update on his future.

“Nicolas Jackson’s obligation deal conditions will no longer be possible due to his current minutes alongside AFCON,” he told his Here We Go Podcast.

“In any case, Jackson and Chelsea is over.

“Chelsea signed Emegha from Strasbourg, so Jackson is not in their plans.”

Chelsea reportedly believe Emegha has greater potential than Jackson, and the the Dutch striker will arrive next summer after completing the season with Strasbourg.

Liam Delap set for another spell on the sidelines

Whilst Jackson’s future is away from Chelsea, Liam Delap’s is very much at the club, but he’s suffered another injury setback.

Delap picked up a shoulder injury against Bournemouth, which Enzo Maresca described as “not good,” and he’s already missed over two months with a hamstring injury pickled up at the end of August.

That leaves Chelsea with Marc Guiu and Joao Pedro, who both aren’t in great form, whilst Pedro Neto is also an option down the middle, and it will be interesting to see how Maresca deals with another Delap absence.
